I'd post on their forums but since it's currently housing some spam ( 1, 2) I'm not exactly enthused by the idea of signing up and posting. There is a setting under Administrative Templates\Foxit Reader 8.3\Preferences reading Remove 'Registration' but that only removes registration from the Help menu once you're in the software, nothing to do with the registering at-launch. I've already loaded the Foxit ADMX/ADML's into the DC and looked through their settings. This will be no good because A) Most staff won't know to just cancel off it, and B) Student profiles are wiped every boot, so this will constantly show up for the kids. Now you will never get the script error message in Foxit reader. Click on General, uncheck show start page and show advertisement as shown in the below figure. Now the preferences window will be opened. However, whenever a user first launches Foxit, they are presented with a UAC prompt coming from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\FoxitReader.exe" -register Click on preferences as shown in below figure. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all. Press Windows Key, type msconfig in the search box, and hit Enter. Follow the below mentioned steps to perform Clean Boot: a. So we're jumping ship from Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to Foxit PDF Reader because we're sick of staff not being able to edit PDF files and apparently exam boards are using PDF's more frequently. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program.
